Fun to be had at Winter Fest 2016

Winter Fest 2016, SoCal’s ultimate winter experience returns to the OC Fair & Event Center ❄️❄️ December 16 – January 1

Winter Fest 2016

With four kids and two working parents, our busy family needs fun days! Especially the kind that offers fun for all of us- the teen, the tween, and the littles! And let me tell you, that’s not always easy. Or affordable.

And can we talk about snow? I mean living in Southern California and all, we are privileged to live a short drive away to both the beach and the mountains. But have you driven up the mountains with four restless kids who have been known to rotate the occasional car sickness? Nope.

And the twins? Have Never Seen Snow! What! This is the year, they get to sled!

Winter Fest is coming to the OC! Snow!!!

My older girls and I will be heading to the opening night on December 16! And we will be back with the whole family over our winter break. I’m so excited for Ema and Sara to play in the snow!

There are special events planned throughout the weeks, and I plan on taking them to see one of the live mini shows: Thomas the Train, the Octonauts, Barbie, and more!

Maybe even for their birthday! The holidays are approaching fast and having a December birthday makes it tricky for this mama to fit a fun time in. I’m thinking this could be the answer! Right?

If you are visiting So Cal or are a local like me, this would be a great fun day!

I have had too many friends who have fought breast cancer. I’m glad to see that Knott’s is supporting funds for research and local support.

Happy Fifth Birthday Sara & Ema

My amazing twins! Five years old! Happy Birthday to Ema & Sara!

Sara & Ema Fifth Birthday

Ema –

  1. Born first but likes to be the “little” one.
  2. Loves to make up songs
  3. Will often be found with a book, making up stories, and elaborately pretending
  4. First to help in the kitchen cooking and baking
  5. Quickest to get ready to go somewhere – like Target or a restaurant

Sara –

  1. Loves to recite lines from her favorite movies with her sister (right now it’s the Charlie Brown Christmas)
  2. Will often be seen wearing a hat. Any hat.
  3. Plays soccer like a champ.
  4. Will change her clothes several times a day.
  5. Prefers to be home with her family.

I always thought having twins would be scary and overwhelming, but it is pretty amazing and we are so blessed. Time flies!
