About Lex

Lex

Hi. I’m Lex.

I have learned without a doubt that things happen for a reason.  I moved from the middle of nowhere, to Beach Town, a place I’ve always wanted to live.  I left heartbreak behind, and I opened up my heart to new possibilities and stopped fear in its tracks.  I have love in my life.  And this time, it’s real and lasting.  He loved me 17 years ago.  And from the moment we saw each other again, I found myself opening up to loving him too.   I call him the love of my life.  But you can call him Marco.

I have a nine year old, Isa, and a four year old, Gabi from my former marriage. And now, Marco and I were blessed with twin baby girls, Ema and Sara. I may not know much, but I know that I was meant to be a mom. My girls are a source of joy that can’t be compared. They also drive me nuts with the whining and screaming. They never fail to make me laugh. And nothing beats a hug from those little arms. Or a grip from a tiny little baby hand.

I work full time that will allow me to continue to provide for me and my girls no matter what. I love the people I work with and I’m good at my job.  These days I’m thankful to have that paycheck and try to minimize the bitching about the office politics.  But hey, I’m only human.

Life is too short to get stuck in the pit of despair. I try to remain thankful of all the good in my life and look forward to the future I’ve dreamed of.

I love to read. I use my ipod mostly for audiobooks. I love good food, and at times my weight shows it. I don’t exercise enough to keep up with my taste for rich, yummy foods.

I am Catholic in my beliefs and my affiliation, but I tend to associate with a liberal political point of view. I guess you might call me a conservative liberal, if that makes sense

I don’t have answers. But writing helps me figure things out for myself. It helps me remember. And it allows me to connect with great people out there.
