But I’m doing my best to hang in there. Or I was doing my best. Until my body said, I don’t think so, lady. And my ass was kicked down some more.
So, sinusitis. Upper respiratory whatever thing. It all sucks.
When I first started feeling sick, I wanted my mommy. But then I remembered I’m the mommy.
So I sent Marco to the store for ingredients and I made my super special caldo de pollo (chicken soup).
And I felt better. For like a couple of hours.
But this was more than just a cold. This was a sneaky, burrowing, make itself at home, virus plus infection.
I called the dr for an appointment and was given this brand new service called a Phone Appointment. I talked to the dr, described my symptoms, through some lovely coughing effects, and boom, he sent my prescription over to the pharmacy and I didn’t even have to get out of my jammies. Marco went to pick it up for me. (And then back again because they didn’t give him everything.)
Now here I am days later, still sick. A teensy bit better, but I have zero energy.
I did nothing but rest all weekend because I can’t miss work anymore because of this stupid illness.
Days off should be for fun and stuff!
I’ll probably make some more soup, just for good measure. The last time I faced a bout with a sinus infection, the cough lasted for weeks on end.
What makes you feel better when you’re sick?
